New York native, growing up in the city of New Rochelle and known to some in the Hudson Valley area as “Bong Man,” Adam can be found making functional wheel thrown ceramic bongs and pipes with a sculptural twist. Beyond the realm of functional smoke-ware, his work exhibits elements of precise, geometric, and sometimes comedic elements, typically showcased by stark contrasting glazes and textures. He aims to produce work that is both aesthetically interesting and multifunctional, with the intention of occupying space in a collector’s home as well as their hands.

Adam earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Memphis, concentrating on ceramic and 3-D practices. Currently based in the Hudson Valley, Adam teaches foundation wheel courses and workshops at The Newburgh Pottery.
